Every October, many collectors have that moment when the summer sets have to come off the shelf and something a bit darker goes up in their place. If you rotate your display through the year, then now's the time to refresh your spooky display! The best Halloween LEGO® sets aren't the little seasonal pumpkins and ghost builds, nice as those are. They're the big, detailed models that look just as good in March as they do on the 31st, but happen to be specifically suited for the month of October.
We've counted down our ten favourite spooky LEGO® sets for display, from Sauron's Helmet to a haunted house in Hawkins. Every one has a case made to fit it, and you can add a printed backdrop that finishes the scene off properly. If you want ideas on what to swap out and when, our guide to rotating your LEGO® display seasonally covers the rest of the year.
The 10 Best Halloween LEGO® Sets, Counted Down
10. LEGO® The Lord of the Rings: Sauron's Helmet (11373)
538 pieces | Released 2026 | 33cm tall
We're opening in Mordor. Sauron's Helmet is one of the smaller builds on this list, but it needs no help looking menacing on a shelf. If Barad-dûr further down the list is also on your radar, the two make an obvious pair.
The LEGO® The Lord of the Rings: Sauron's Helmet (11373) Display Case comes with a Mount Doom backdrop, the same design we offer for Barad-dûr, so they match side by side.

9. LEGO® Wednesday Addams Figure (76780)
702 pieces | Released 2024
Next, something small and very gloomy. The brick-built Wednesday comes with two outfits, her Nevermore uniform and the Rave'N dance dress, plus two facial expressions, which is two more than she usually manages. The stand has hidden drawers for her accessories.
It's the easiest set here to find room for, and it sits well at the end of a shelf next to something bigger. Our LEGO® Wednesday Addams Figure (76780) Display Case comes with an optional Nevermore backdrop. If you went for the bigger set, there's a LEGO® Wednesday & Enid's Dorm Room (76781) case too.

8. LEGO® Ghostbusters ECTO-1 (10274)
2,352 pieces | Released 2020 | 47cm long
Who you gonna call? The 2020 ECTO-1 is the definitive brick-built version of the car, with an extendable rear gunner seat, a roof rack full of detection kit and a ghost sniffer that moves as the wheels turn. All that roof detail is also a magnet for dust.
Our LEGO® Ghostbusters ECTO-1 (10274) Display Case includes a support that holds the car at an angle, so you see more of it than a flat side profile. The Afterlife backdrop is the one to pick for October. Still got the older Ideas version? There's a case for the LEGO® Ideas Ghostbusters Ecto-1 (21108) as well.

7. LEGO® Ideas Twilight The Cullen House (21354)
2,001 pieces | Released 2025 | 37cm wide
The set recreates the Cullen family's three-storey glass home from the Twilight films. It comes with seven minifigures, including Edward with his sparkle effect, a brick-built wolf version of Jacob and Bella's pick-up truck.
The LEGO® Twilight The Cullen House (21354) Display Case has room for all seven minifigures. The Forest backdrop puts the house back in the woods around Forks, where it belongs.

6. LEGO® Harry Potter™ Malfoy Manor (76453)
1,601 pieces | Released 2025
Plenty of Wizarding World sets are cosy, but we wouldn't say this is one of them! Malfoy Manor is where the Death Eaters gather in Deathly Hallows, and it's easily one of the darkest corners of the Harry Potter™ range.
It's a compact build, so it works on a standard shelf. The LEGO® Malfoy Manor (76453) Display Case has a Death Eaters backdrop that does a lot of the atmosphere for you. If Hogwarts is more your thing, our guide to the best Harry Potter LEGO® sets covers our favourites in the range.

5. LEGO® Ideas Jaws (21350)
1,497 pieces | Released 2024
A scary film doesn't necessarily need a haunted house. The Jaws set builds the Orca mid-attack, with the shark coming up out of the water and three minifigures on board. There's also a printed tile with the most quoted line in the film.
It's a long, low model, which works great in a case. The LEGO® Jaws (21350) Display Case has a Sea backdrop that takes it to the next level. We'd still say you don't need a bigger boat - just a better case. If you'd rather leave it open, there's a LEGO® Jaws (21350) SetScape display for it too.

4. LEGO® The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr™ (10333)
5,471 pieces | Released 2024 | 83cm tall
Not technically a Halloween set, but we still feel is more than fitting in a range of the spookiest LEGO® sets. Sauron's fortress stands 83cm tall in black and dark grey, with the Eye watching from the top. It's the biggest set in this countdown by some distance.
At that height it needs proper protection, because every ledge and spike collects dust. The LEGO® The Lord of the Rings: Barad-dûr™ (10333) Display Case is 900mm tall, and the Mount Doom backdrop fills the space behind the tower. We went through the build in our Barad-dûr set review, if you'd like to check out our thoughts before you buy.

3. LEGO® Ideas Disney Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters' Cottage (21341)
2,316 pieces | Released 2023
Hocus Pocus has been a Halloween classic since 1993, and this cottage does the film justice. All three Sanderson sisters are here, along with Max, Dani, Allison and Binx in cat form. Inside, a light brick glows under the cauldron and the Book of Spells sits on its stand. Outside, the gate and graveyard build doubles as a stand for the minifigures.
The LEGO® Disney Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters' Cottage (21341) Display Case has room for the cottage and the graveyard together. Add the Creepy Forest backdrop and it looks like a scene from the film. More Disney cases are in our LEGO® Disney display cases range.

2. LEGO® Ideas Disney Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas (21351)
2,193 pieces | Released 2024 | 51cm wide
The ideal Halloween set, because you don't have to take it down for Christmas! Spiral Hill, Jack Skellington's house and Halloween Town Hall all fit in one diorama, along with the walking bathtub, which is one of the best details in any recent Ideas set.
Put it up in October and it can stay through to Christmas, which isn't something you can say for a haunted house. The LEGO® Disney Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas (21351) Display Case has a Graveyard backdrop that works for both seasons.

1. LEGO® Stranger Things: The Creel House (11370)
2,593 pieces | Released 2026 | 50cm wide
The newest set here, and one of the creepiest you can display. The Creel House is based on the final season of Stranger Things, and LEGO® calls it the first transforming LEGO® house. A hidden mechanism splits the exterior, so you can display it boarded up or open it out to show the seven rooms inside. The rooms include a haunted upstairs hallway and Vecna's Mind Lair, grandfather clock and all.
Steve's car, the WSQK radio van and Will's bike come in the box too, so it makes a full scene rather than just a building. The LEGO® Stranger Things: The Creel House (11370) Display Case has an Upside Down backdrop, which gives exactly the right amount of unsettling.

More Halloween LEGO® Sets Worth a Case

How to Set Up a Halloween LEGO® Display
A backdrop does most of the work. A printed graveyard or forest behind a set turns it from a model on a shelf into a scene, and it's the cheapest way to make a display feel seasonal.
If you'd rather see the back of the model, go for a mirror back panel instead. It shows the side facing the wall and bounces extra light into the case. Speaking of light, a dim room with a single warm light is about as Halloween as a display gets. Our LEGO® display lighting guide covers how to set that up without glare on the acrylic.
Dark sets also show dust more than most. Cobwebs are fine as decoration, less so on Barad-dûr. Our guide on how to keep your LEGO® sets dust-free has the practical side.
FAQ
What are the best Halloween LEGO® sets to display?
The Creel House (11370) is our top pick and the best new set for spooky season. The Nightmare Before Christmas (21351) is the one you can leave out until Christmas, and Hocus Pocus (21341) is the pick for fans of the classic Halloween films.
Is there a LEGO® haunted house set?
Yes. The main one is the Haunted House (10273), a 3,231-piece set from the LEGO® Fairground Collection with a working free-fall ride. LEGO® also made a 680-piece Mini Disney The Haunted Mansion (40521) in 2022, based on the theme park ride.
Can I keep a Halloween LEGO® set on display all year?
Of course. Most of these sets are film and TV pieces first and Halloween pieces second, so they don't look out of place in spring. A case keeps the dust off while it's out, and if you do swap it for something else, the set goes back in the cupboard in the same condition it came out in.
